Personality

Macaws are beautiful big birds which everyone would be attracted to with their big voices to their overall large body . There are two types of the macaws , the mini macaw abd the big macaws, note the word min i doesn't mean they are small , the average mini macaw measures about 20-25 inches from head to tail so that shouldn't worry you lol. The macaws loves attention neven in quiet environments, you always hear them cry out ,singing and talking so you should be aware of their presence, The well trained macaws will talk and make noise to any one in the house so they can get attention and to note they are extremely sensitive aswell.
The adult macaws loves playing with toys and can chew up anything made out of wood. So when getting a pet macaw make sure to include a monthly expenditure of toys forn them . They slo love puzzles and games such as searching for food in hidden places, this will boast their morals and confidence.

Adult macaws have large vocals and their screeches can be loud . When getting a pet macaw you should endeavor to get acquainted with their large squawks and also put into consideration your neighbours if you live in a shared apartment cus they might cause nuisance to them . The macaws can be trained to talk and whistle or imitate sounds and noises from tgh home and out of yhe home. Dont be surprise to hear a new sound from them when you walk in the park with the , They are extremely smart and copy -cats.

in conclusion , the macaw and the british shorthair would go along since they love puzzle solving and toy playing,At first glance , they cat/kitten would be extremely curious and would be chasing the macaw al over but in due time he would become familiar with the pet parrot and would play along with each other.
Getting a macaw as a pet would depend entirely and you and your budget, they demand extreme large space and cages to keep them, and toys for them to break , so you have to put all that into consideration and be ready.
